Newsflash

Ice skating and Tai chi, for example, are sports that come close to artistic spectacles in themselves: to watch these activities comes close to the experience of spectating at a ballet. Similarly, there are others that have elements of sport and art in their execution, such as Bodybuilding, Yoga, etc. The best example is Bull-fighting, which in Spain is reported in the arts pages.

Good Deals For Track And Field Equipment

As i teacher I always tried to stimulate my students into participating at sportive competitions and all sort of games and exercises.  Children love out door exercises and the best activity i ever organised each year was a mock olimpic event.  I started to make all the preparations and i finally got to the equipment for the kids.

There were so many activities to choose the equipment for and so many choices, that i didn't know where to start from.  I was wondering in different soprt stores and i just could not decide what to buy.  And i decided to be more organized, because organizing a mock olympics for the local community is not an easy thing to do.

I started with making a list with the activities that will be included in the mock olympic event.  I decided that the kids will inform me better on what events would they like to participate.  After i asked them  and found out what events they want included in the mock olimpics, i made a top 10.

Once i got the top 10 of the events my students would like to play, i decided to go to the sports store.  I had an unpleasant feeling when i saw how expensive will be the entire equipment.  I had to buy just common track and field equipment for different events kids like as shot put, discus, javelin or hurdles.  There was no way i could afford to buy all, so i had to be a little creative.

I thought that i have many coach colegues and i found out that they could help me with loaning their equipments for a day.  If i would of asked them before i would of known that i have small chances to buy all the track and field equipment. They also advised me about the miscellaneous items i had to buy and i also made a list. I bought stop watches, ribbons, trophies and metals.

I could choose also from shopping the track and field equipment from second hand stores like Play it again or even the local salvation army. The weekly newspaper had some great offers on track and field equipment.  Next year i will know excatly what to do and the event will be even better organized.
